1:1 Parent Night-Thursday October 22, 2009
8th parents are requested to attend a follow-up evening. At this time, TIS will facilitate parent discussion groups to address questions and concerns regarding the 1:1 pilot.
Pilot Evaluation-January 2010
When the pilot period has expired, the results will be reported to the TIS school board. At that time the 1:1 pilot committee will make specific recommendations regarding a school-wide technology approach. Depending on the pilot results, this could lead to 1:1 in more grade levels or a different approach.
School-Wide Implementation-August 2010
TIS will construct a school-wide approach to technology education based on the directives from the school board. At this time, a comprehensive plan will be formulated for the school board to approve. Upon approval, TIS will begin full implementation in August of 2010. This plan may or may not incorporate 1:1 computing.
